How to Use
Miracle Bandage Plus (MBP) for Bedsores Peel and Place Instructions
1. Before application, clean the pressure bearing area with isopropyl or rubbing alcohol.
2. Miracle Bandage Plus is pre-cut into three equal sized pieces. Take the one with the slit first and place it horizontally along the sacrum. The slit in this bandage should line up with the top of the intergluteal fold (butt crack).
3. Peel off the MBP backing, starting at the exposed triangular corner.
4. Place the piece with the slit across the sacrum with the slit centered on the intergluteal fold when the skin is in its fully stretched position.
Massage down the edges.
5. Proceed to place the other two pieces overlapping the first, and extending along either side of the intergluteal fold of the buttocks. (see photo) Again, ensure that the skin is in its fully stretched position.
Massage down the edges.
6. Once a day, swab the bandage using a paper towel wetted with tap water. MBP is designed to get wet (such as showering).
7. If the pressure bearing area’s skin is dry, apply an aloe vera based moisturizer.
8. Leave the MBP in place until it falls off (typically about 21 days). To remove the bandage earlier than the suggested time period, use isopropyl alcohol.
9. If soiled, clean the dressing with soap and tap water on a paper towel. Then wipe the area with a paper towel soaked in tap water. Do not remove.
Precautions
Only use on intact skin
